EVENT RENTAL FORM
The Howard Family Bookstore is committed to providing a welcoming space for stories, creativity, and connection. Event space rentals help support affordable community programming and keep our space accessible to local organizations and creatives.
We welcome a variety of events, including book clubs, author talks, poetry readings, community meetings, workshops, and other educational or mission-aligned gatherings. There is a 2-hour minimum for all events.
Literary Event Rate: Hosting a book launch or author talk? We offer a special rate of$200 for up to 3-hoursfor these events. This rate is available exclusively for book launches and author talks. Other literary events, workshops, and private gatherings are subject to our standard rental rates.
Payment Policy: Upon confirmation, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due on the day of your event. A $50 refundable cleaning fee is also required. Our rental options include:
- Main Bookstore Floor (up to 50 guests): Starting at $100/hour (weekdays) and $150/hour (weekends)
- Back Presentation Room (up to 30 guests): Starting at $50/hour (weekdays) and $75/hour (weekends)
- Upstairs Reading Room (up to 20 guests): Starting at $50/hour (weekdays) and $75/hour (weekends)
- Full Bookstore Buyout: Starting at $300/hour (weekdays) and $350/hour (weekends) OR $1,000/hour (weekdays) and $1,400/hour (weekends) for a 4-hour block
